As electric vehicles continue their surge in popularity, major automakers know they must lead the way in supporting this transition. Recognizing that infrastructure access is key to wider EV adoption, Mercedes-Benz is taking aggressive action to empower their growing community of electric pioneers.
In a bold public-private partnership with industry heavyweights MN8 Energy and ChargePoint, Mercedes-Benz unveiled ambitious plans to circulate renewable energy throughout North America's transport system. By 2027, their high-voltage chargers will span 400 strategic stations across heavily traveled cities and towns.
Visitors to these futuristic "charging hubs" will find over 2,500 power sockets rapidly replenishing depleted battery packs. Whether patrons drive a Benz or another brand, they can rely on finding a reliable 150kW socket every 50 miles or less along major highway routes. Both CCS and CHAdeMO connections ensure even the widest range of EVs can sip from Mercedes' network.
Of course, Mercedes EQC drivers will enjoy special conveniences. A bespoke app lets users seamlessly locate the nearest oasis, reserve a slot, then payhands-free straight from their vehicle display. This one-stop fueling experience epitomizes the simplicity and joy of electric mobility.
While starting in its domestic markets, Mercedes' charging rings will soon encircle the globe. Through partnerships unlocking existing infrastructure, they'll weave an interconnected network of sustainable energy that empowers all drivers to discover the electric revolution. Under Mercedes' guidance, a future with zero emissions at every turn is within closer reach than ever.
